CalcOS

CalcOS · Exact integer notation

Numbers Converter

Convert integers exactly among binary, octal, decimal, and hexadecimal using arbitrary-precision arithmetic.

Only whole integers are accepted. Underscore separators and an optional sign are supported; fractions, floating-point notation, Roman numerals, and number names are intentionally excluded.

Positional notation represents the same integer with different digits

Each place contributes its digit multiplied by a power of the selected base. CalcOS parses the complete integer with arbitrary-precision arithmetic, then emits its exact representation in the destination base.

255₁₀ = 11111111₂ = 377₈ = FF₁₆

Explicit scope

This converter supports signed whole integers in bases 2, 8, 10, and 16. It intentionally excludes fractions, floating-point encodings, Roman numerals, and written number names because those require different representation contracts.

Input rules

Binary accepts 0–1, octal accepts 0–7, decimal accepts 0–9, and hexadecimal accepts 0–9 plus A–F. Optional underscore separators are ignored.
