How to convert degrees to radians
Used when translating familiar degree measures into SI-coherent plane angles. CalcOS retains π in the governing definition and rounds only the displayed numerical result.
radians = degrees × π ÷ 180
Worked example: 180 ° = 3.14159265359 rad.
Degrees to Radians common-angle table
| degree (°) | radian (rad) |
|---|---|
| 0 | 0 |
| 30 | 0.523598775598 |
| 45 | 0.785398163397 |
| 60 | 1.0471975512 |
| 90 | 1.57079632679 |
| 180 | 3.14159265359 |
| 360 | 6.28318530718 |
Radians and degrees measure the same angle
The radian is the SI coherent unit of plane angle. Degrees remain accepted for use with SI and are defined by the exact relationship 1° = π/180 rad.
